Diane Kay Hostetler
MASON CITY — Diane Kay
Hostetler 61, of 805 15th Place N.E., died Saturday (Jan. 28, 2006) at Mercy
Medical Center-North Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wesley United
Methodist Church, 1405 S. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Keith Scott
officiating. A family private inurnment will take place at Memorial Park
Cemetery in Mason City.
Visitation with the body present will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the
Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel 126 Third St. N.E. in Mason City and one
hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Diane Kay Hostetler was born on Aug. 21, 1944, in Mason City, the daughter
of John and Wilma (Barmore) Hostetler.
Diane graduated Mason City High School. She attended Parsons College, and
later North Iowa Area Community College. Diane volunteered at Mercy Medical
Center and Central Catholic Daycare. She wrote articles in the Renew monthly
newsletter.
Diane loved reading, socializing with her friends, and spending time with
her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Wesley United
Methodist Church.
Diane is survived by her two daughters, Trish Johnson and fiancé, Doug
Gilbertson, of Dike, and Shannon and husband, Don Edwards, of Tucson, Ariz.;
grandchildren, Zachary Johnson, of Dike; Courtney, Alexis, and Justus
Edwards, of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Judy and husband, Gerald Anderson, of
Forest City.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents, John and Wilma Hostetler.
